Elgin man sentenced to 6 months for child porn
A 67-year-old Elgin man caught with child pornography was sentenced to 180 days in jail, authorities said Thursday.
Lyndon L. Humbracht, of the 1100 block of Florimond Drive, also must register as a sex offender, receive counseling, provide a DNA sample and pay a $1,000 fine. He was sentenced Wednesday by Kane County Circuit Court Judge Robert Spence.
Investigators from the Elgin Police Department and Illinois Attorney General's Office went to Humbracht's home in March after receiving a tip about a transfer of child pornography by e-mail. Prosecutors said evidence technicians found multiple child pornography images and videos on CDs in Humbracht's briefcase.
The case was co-prosecuted by the attorney general's office and the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.
