Whatever happened to 'we the people?'

Springfield has a real problem. Do they want an open, honest election to elect a senator to the Illinois Senate seat in Washington? Or do they want only a Democrat to fill that seat? They are so afraid that a Republican would win that the last thing they want the people to do is be allowed to have a voice in the process.

That shows you how your voice has been silenced. All you hear about the cost to hold an election. This from a state that spends money like it has money to spend.

Before the current politicians were even born, if a situation like this arose, the people were asked to fill the position by voting in a special election. Because that was the way the, then, State Constitution required that things be done. Unlike now, the politicians have the only voice in these situations. And their history of favoritism and selections has been anything but stellar. Need any more proof, look like the condition of this state.

We, the people, (sound familiar) need to look for people who will change things in Springfield. It doesn't matter the party, it matters that the people begin to listen to the people. We, the voters. (Good luck)
