Thanks for support of U.S. troops

The Yellow Ribbon Support Group has sent more than 12,300 boxes since April 2003 to the troops serving in harm's way with the help of civic groups, church congregations and American patriots.

In addition, we collected more than 3,000 pounds of Halloween candy from municipalities, churches, schools and corporations, which we include in the boxes going to the troops overseas.

The YRSG will once again join forces with the Girl Scouts and Brownies from Cook and Lake Counties after receiving more than 6,200 boxes of cookies through operation cookie drop 2008. We are just starting Operation cookie drop 2009, and anticipate another banner year.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support of our Mission Statement and enabling us to continue to send these care packages to the U.S. military serving overseas.
