Parent involvement sought in Grayslake schools
Grayslake Elementary District 46 board members Monday night discussed the possibility of starting parent involvement workshops. Superintendent Ellen Correll asked the board to consider the purpose and the measure of success of the informal sessions. Board member Jill Rohrer suggested an event designed to help parents ensure their children get homework done. She said some school districts try to attract parents to such events by offering two-for-one dinner coupons or other incentives. "We need to get parents to actively understanding that education is going to help their kids," Rohrer said.
