Alderman's father gets 4 years for false documents

A Chicago alderman's father has been sentenced to four years in prison for taking thousands of photos used in making false Social Security cards and drivers licenses.

Elias Munoz, 63, father of Alderman Ricardo Munoz, was also fined $500 on Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer and ordered to report to prison April 6.

Munoz was among 22 people arrested in April 2007 when federal agents raided the predominantly Mexican-American Little Village neighborhood southwest of downtown.

Prosecutors said his photo shop supplied pictures to a ring that made bogus documents.
