Piled-up snow just a seasonal hazard

I wonder if Mr. Koenen visited any other suburbs to see how their sidewalks looked before complaining about snow piled on the curbs and slush in the crosswalks in downtown Arlington Heights.

We live in the Chicago area and when there is a big, heavy snowfall these things happen and it isn't always easy to get things cleaned up quickly. I, too am a long time resident of Arlington Heights and encourage everyone to shop, eat and enjoy our beautiful downtown. It has so much to offer people of all ages.

If Mr. Koenen chooses not to, fine. However, broadcasting that decision in the newspaper does great harm to our business owners and all residents in the long run. By the way, there are two lots with covered parking that have plenty of space available for shoppers right in the heart of our downtown. Enjoy!
