Obama's promises have consequences
Ellen Goodman's column of Dec. 30 probably reflect a majority of readers view about George Bush.
I just hope that Mr. Obama is able to deliver on his good promises, unfortunately there are consequences to all his promises.
However, more than that, without President Bush to kick around, can Ellen Goodman and her associates in the media do some journalism? It has been sad to watch the majority of the media completely walk away from their responsibility in the past election cycle.
I do have some future predictions for the next 4 years. These are based upon all of what Mr. Obama has said and more importantly what historically, that has resulted in. • In four years unemployment will be higher than the current 6.5 percent (as much as 10 percent is likely).
• In four years the GDP will be below current 2008 annualized of approximately 1 percent.
• In four years inflation will be at over today's 3.5 percent (I suspect as much as 8 percent).
• In four years the United States will be attacked again on U.S. soil by Islamic extremists.
As I said hope that Mr. Obama can avoid all this but frankly if he does everything he says it is not likely.
