Illinois-Chicago stumbles

Terry Evans had 28 points and 8 rebounds to lead Wisconsin-Green Bay to a 66-61 victory over host Illinois-Chicago on Saturday.

The score was tied at halftime, 28-28.

Troy Cotton added 18 points, including four 3-pointers for the Phoenix (10-4, 3-0 Horizon League).

Josh Mayo led UIC (8-5, 1-2) with 22 points and Scott Vandermeer had 9.

The Flames saw their shooting percentage drop from 41.7 percent in the first period to 28.6 percent in the second period. Illinois-Chicago got 20 points from its bench players.
