Don't lump Bush with Blagojevich

I'm responding to the Fence Post article written on the Dec. 20 issue from Shawn Killackey. How can you, Shawn, mention our president in the same sentence with our corrupt governor, Rod Blagojevich? Rod Blagojevich broke the trust and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. President Bush on the other hand had to make very unpopular decisions during his two terms in office due to very threatening circumstances. You mentioned that so many people hate our president; if that was the case he wouldn't have been elected twice. I honestly respect President Bush for his determination on the war on terrorism and keeping our taxes in check. You, Shawn, on the other hand should be ashamed of yourself for disrespecting a president who kept your family safe from attack for eight years and by also putting him in the same light as Rod Blagojevich. Mr. Bush's legacy will be written about how he stayed the course against the terrorists to keep our nation free from attack. It's disconcerting to know that someone in my hometown can't appreciate President Bush's service to our great country.
