Firefighter accused of molesting 3 children

A Cook County judge has denied bond for a Chicago firefighter charged with sexually assaulting three children.

Assistant State's Attorney Kevin Nolan says 48-year-old Jose Moreno allegedly hung a three-year-old girl and two boys, age 5 and 6, from pegs while molesting them. He says the assaults took place from February 2007 through Dec. 11 while Moreno cared for the children four days a week.

Nolan says police searching Moreno's home found children's underwear and photographs of the children in suggestive poses. The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services says Moreno isn't related to the children.

Moreno has been a Chicago firefighter since 2005. He was arrested Monday.
