Put rules on how bailout is spent

Regarding the bailout "loan" for the automakers, I hope there will be some stipulations. The first would be that this money not go to China in the purchase of their raw materials such as steel, rubber, plastics or electronics. We went to the moon with less technology than we have today, and it is time we put out brains to work for this country.

That brings me to the second point. Why do we need NASA? They spend millions, maybe billions, going to Mars, which we know is a dead planet, it will still be there, if and when, we might need it. The space station can wait. Take all that brain power and huge budget and apply it to where we need it now, reinventing our manufacturing base to be able to compete with the Third World nations we must compete with in the near future.

Lastly, what kind of board of directors would allow a GM CEO to remain in office while losing billions over the past five years?

What an embarrassment to the professional management class. No wonder we are losing our competitive edge.
