Arlington Heights
• Christina Lubrich, 42, of the 10800 block of Lone Star Way, Huntley, and Daniel J. Peterson, 44, of the 1100 block of Greenridge Road, Buffalo Grove, were arrested around 11 p.m. Dec. 24 on the 3000 block of Huntington Drive and charged with battery. Their court date is Jan. 29.
• Someone stole a small black purse from a table in a banquet hall on the 500 block of West Algonquin Road between 7 p.m. and midnight Dec. 20; loss was estimated at $300,
• A $300 women's hat was stolen from a coat rack in an office on the 100 block of West Eastman, between 1-1:30 p.m. Dec. 22.
• Andrei Korca, 36, of the 1600 block of North Windsor Drive, was arrested around 1 a.m. Dec. 23 in his condominium building and charged with battery and resisting arrest. His court date is Jan. 22.
• Someone stole the in-dash stereo faceplate out of an unlocked 1997 Nissan Sentra on the 2100 block of South Tonne Road between 9 p.m. Dec. 22 and noon Dec. 23.
• Two tires were slashed on a 2008 Ford Explorer in the Metra lot at 2121 W. Northwest Hwy. between 5 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Dec. 23; damage was estimated at $500.
• Someone stole a 2005 World Series baseball signed by Ozzie Guillen from a medical office on the 600 block of West Central Road between 10-10:15 a.m. Dec. 24.
• Someone stole a cell phone, GPS unit, MP3 player and a satellite radio out of a 2002 Ford Explorer on the 900 block of East Valley Lane overnight Dec. 23-24. There was no sign of forced entry; loss was estimated at $1,025.
Des Plaines
• A blue 1995 Ford Windstar minivan on the 300 block of Beau Drive was stolen around 4:30 p.m. Dec. 24; it had been parked unlocked with the engine running. A value estimate was not available.
• A wallet was stolen out of a briefcase in an office on the 1300 block of East Touhy Avenue between 1-2 p.m. Dec. 23; loss was estimated at $70.
• Tina Ann Ryan, 38, of the 1900 block of South Maple, Des Plaines, was arrested Dec. 23 and charged with retail theft from Kmart, 1155 E. Oakton St. Her court date is Feb. 3.
• Vandals shattered a window on a 2005 Ford Escape on the 1900 block of Kennicott Court overnight Dec. 22-23. Nothing appeared missing; damage was estimated at $150.
• Vandals sprayed a caustic liquid on a 2004 Dodge Durango and 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer in a lot on the 200 block of West Oakton Street between 6:15-9:30 p.m. Dec. 22. Total damage was estimated at $3,000.
• Burglars pried open a door at 521 E. Santa Rosa Drive between Dec. 11-22 and stole several hundred feet of copper wire; loss was estimated at $3,000.
Residents at a home on the 1900 block of Deane Street saw two men inside their house when they pulled into the driveway around 6:45 p.m. Dec. 22. The men fled after rifling through a closet and a jewelry box, but the only item missing was a check on the kitchen table. Loss was estimated at $250.
Rolling Meadows
• Burglars climbed through an unlocked window at a home on the 2200 block of Birch Lane between 7:15-9:30 a.m. Dec. 18 and stole a laptop computer, DVD player, 10 DVDs, a video-game system and five video games. The total loss was estimated at $3,500.
• An exterior wall at Screen USA, 5110 Tollview Drive, was vandalized with spray paint sometime before Dec. 20. A damage estimate was not available.
• Burglars forced open the rear door at Sabatello Tree Care, 3833 Industrial Ave., between 3 p.m. Dec. 19 and 2:46 p.m. Dec. 20, but it was not clear if anything was missing.
Wheeling
• A 2008 Chevrolet Express van at Lexington Drive and Silverwood Court was vandalized between 2:30 p.m. Dec. 24 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 25; damage was estimated at $150.
• An air conditioner unit outside the North Suburban Library System, 200 W. Dundee Road, was vandalized with spray paint between Dec. 21-23; damage was estimated at $50.
• A 2006 Honda CR-V and a 2008 Nissan Versa on the 300 block of Wood Creek Road were broken into around 1:20 a.m. Dec. 20. GPS units were stolen from each; total loss was estimated at $400. A witness saw a man get out of a car, smash a front window on the Honda, take the GPS and leave in the car driven by an accomplice. It was not clear if another burglar broke into the Nissan and left with the first burglar.
• Burglars kicked in the front door at three apartments in the same complex on the 500 block of Shelly Court and 600 block of Gayle Court between 5:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 22. It was not clear what was taken; total damage was estimated at $600.
