Bloomington man faces more charges in stabbing

BLOOMINGTON -- Two additional first-degree murder charges have been filed against an 18-year-old man already charged in a stabbing earlier this month.

McLean County Assistant State's Attorney Bill Workman says the additional murder counts address Kendall Gunn's intention to kill 20-year-old Shane Alexander Freidman-Howard.

Gunn had already been charged with first-degree murder.

Prosecutors say Freidman-Howard was found in a parking lot with multiple stab wounds on Dec. 12. He and Gunn had been at the same party at a nearby apartment.

Gunn's next court appearance is set for Jan. 2. He's in the McLean County Jail in lieu of posting $50,000 bond.
