Stuck crossing gates snarls Arlington Heights traffic

Traffic in downtown Arlington Heights was snarled Tuesday night after several Union Pacific Railroad crossing gates got stuck in the down position at several locations, police said.

Arlington Heights police contacted Union Pacific Railroad, which fixed the malfunction. Metra reported delays of about 10 minutes due to freight train interference, but no delays were reported in connection with the gate malfunctions.
