Skinny: Is there a better way to spend New Year's Eve than with the Blue Demons and Fighting Irish playing their Big East opener in Rosemont? That depends on which DePaul team shows up against No. 7 Notre Dame. Coach Jerry Wainwright has seen a change for the good since the dismal losses to Northwestern and Morgan State - a change fueled by freshman Devin Hill's emergence at power forward and Mac Koshwal's dominance on the boards. Koshwal, who ranks ninth nationally in rebounding (11.3 rpg), meets his match in reigning Big East player of the year Luke Harangody (22.7 ppg, 12.0 rpg). The Irish also get 17.2 ppg from senior guard Kyle McAlarney, who has made 49 of 103 3-pointers and all 14 free throws.
