Governor's office releases subpoenas
Gov. Rod Blagojevich has turned over subpoenas his administration received from federal investigators looking into possible hiring fraud.
The 2006 grand jury subpoenas released Monday by the Better Government Association show that investigators were interested in hiring early in Blagojevich's administration.
The subpoenas sought personnel records for several people involved in filling jobs under the Democratic governor.
The BGA sued for the documents after the Blagojevich administration denied a Freedom of Information Act request filed by the group. A state appeals court ruled last month that Blagojevich must comply with the request.
The Democratic governor was arrested last month on federal corruption charges.
