Celebrate Christmas at Barrington service
Celebrate the wonder and majesty of Christmas at Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road, southeast corner at Route 59, in Barrington. Become "as a little child" at the special 4 p.m. Children's Service with festive music by the Children's Handchimes, directed by Karen Maxwell and Cherub Choir directed by Sydney Whitley and Stephanie Preucil.
At the evening services, worship by candlelight at the 7 p.m. Carols and Candlelight service, with glorious music from our Chancel Choir directed by Karen Maxwell, accompanied by Jeff Neufeld and the Stonegate Brass ensemble and soloist Rosalyn Wesley.
Enjoy celestial harp music in the church's Rotunda at 10:30 p.m., and then worship at the 11 p.m. Communion, Carols and Candlelight Service, featuring music from the Chancel Choir, Stonegate String quartet, and soloists Rosalyn Wesley and Kimberly Albrecht.
Childcare is available at the 4 and 7 p.m. services.
Once more, the Christmas offering will help "the poorest of the poor" through the ChildServ and Marcy-Newberry agencies and the Humboldt Park United Methodist Church.
