Wintrust acquires Professional Mortgage Partners

LAKE FOREST - Wintrust Financial Corp. Tuesday announced the acquisition of Professional Mortgage Partners of Downers Grove.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1999 by President Barton Pitts and six other investors, PMP built its business into a reputable mortgage banking operation with 180 employees comprised of 10 retail mortgage offices with nearly $1.6 billion in annual mortgage originations in 2008.

Wintrust is a financial holding company with 15 community banks in Elk Grove Village, Crystal Lake, Barrington, Arlington Heights and elsewhere.
