Gay friendly schools are too expensive

In response to the article on Nov. 18, "Gay friendly schools," I do not see how it is possible for these students to have their own schools. I do support the idea to create these schools, but with the price of schools, teachers, and books it does not seem financially possible.

As I would assume everyone knows the United States is in a state of financial crisis and struggle to keep jobs alive. Now, although it would be beneficial to have these schools, it just does not seem as though we can spend money here when millions are losing their jobs. Yes, we should care about these students, but millions of parents and their jobs are more important. So why should millions suffer so these students have private schools?

The idea appears that it would be very beneficial to these select students, but how many homosexual students live in the United States? To provide separate schools for these students you would need thousands of schools around the U.S. This means that it will cost billions for these purposed schools to exist in the future. With the U.S. financial problems it's just not going to happen. So until the U.S. can get out of this crisis and pull out of some of its global debt the homosexual students will need to be watched by staff to ensure their safety and well being.
