Iraqi thanks Bush for liberation
Dear Mr. President,
I am an Iraqi citizen and I am speaking on behalf of the majority of the Iraqis here in the U.S. about the incident of throwing shoes at you by an Iraqi male.
We all felt embarrassed and ashamed of this barbaric act and behavior from a man, the least I can say about, is shameless and with no ethical or moral background and no matter what was his excuse for doing that.
You were a guest in Iraq and you should be treated as a welcomed guest, not to mention you are still the leader of the free world and you were the one who liberated Iraq from the clutches of the most vicious tyrant the history ever came up with.
On behalf of my family and on behalf of my Iraq, I like to apologize but please don't feel insulted and as a matter of fact you should be proud. You took the Iraqis from centuries of oppression and from an era of darkness, fear, and torture to a time where we can stand up to the highest authority and express our anger and how we feel even in an unpleasant barbaric way.
All Iraqis under Saddam felt in their hearts and thought this time will never come and all they did was dream about it, but look at it now. The time is real and we owe all that to you, Mr. President. I salute you together with the millions whom you liberated and took from darkness to the bright light (nour in Arabic.)
Million thanks, Mr. President, for all what you have done for my Iraq and God bless.
Jabria Jassim
