Blount's 25 points lead Loyola
DEKALB - J.R. Blount scored 25 points, including 10 from the free-throw line, leading Loyola to a 72-62 win over Northern Illinois on Saturday.
Loyola (6-5) outscored NIU (4-8) 42-37 in the second half.
Marcus Thomas added 15 points and Justin Cerasoli 12 points for Loyola. Leon Young had a game-high 10 rebounds.
Tyler Storm came off the bench to lead the Huskies with 13 points and 4 assists. Michael Patton added 12 points and Sean Kowal 10.
There were six ties and five lead changes, with Loyola leading by as many as 15 points and NIU by as many as 6.
