Clinton will be asset to Obama

I'm writing in response to your Nov. 18 article, titled "Obama should make room for Clinton." As much as I hate to admit it, the article was probably 100 percent correct. Everybody knows that the main reason Sarah Palin was selected to be John McCain's running mate was because she was a woman . . . and therefore could win over many of Hillary Clinton's supporters. I'm not saying this is the only reason she was picked, but there's no doubting a different vice presidential candidate would have been picked had Hillary Clinton been going up against McCain.

I also agree that Clinton will be a great help to Obama as he takes office Jan. 20. She has a vast amount of support from citizens across the U.S.; after all, the two of them nearly tied as they tried to earn the Democratic Presidential nomination. What better than to take advantage of this? Well written.
