Library evacuated as police search for suicidal man

The Barrington Area Library was evacuated late Thursday afternoon as police searched for a man believed to be suicidal and possibly armed with a gun.

The Barrington Police were assisting the Deerfield Police Department in locating the man they thought might be in the library.

The man's car was in the library's parking lot. Further investigation found that he was not in Barrington at the time.

The Deerfield Police are continuing to investigate.
