Puppy talk provides a happy distraction

This is in response to Julie Kuefner's letter, "Focus on the issues, not Obama's puppy."

I can't believe you're a high school teacher bashing our new president to your students. You of all people should be supporting him. He isn't even in office yet! I think he's doing a great job so far appointing people so that when he does take office in January they will already have started working on the mess that President Bush has left behind.

At times, I thought the same about the puppy issue. That we have more serious matters than that. But it actually has been a good distraction from the problems we all are going through.

Instead of being a complainer, teacher, why don't you support our President so that he can accomplish his goals.
