Egos must be huge to stay in office
It's amazing to me how some politicians don't really seem to care that the majority of the people they service don't like them. No matter how much they are hated and suggested to resign, they still feel this need to stay. I can't even imagine going day-to-day in front of the cameras knowing that so many people despise you. My guess is that you don't really need friends if you have the company of such a massive ego.
My two examples of this are President Bush and Gov. Blagojevich, both now with their very low approval ratings. How do they get up every morning knowing that they are hated that much? I look at them on television with their forced smiles and wonder why they just don't call it quits. Bush even commented after the shoe was thrown at him last week in Iraq that he's used to either verbal names yelled at him or someone showing him a hand with not all the fingers up.
With President Bush, who should have left a long time ago, it's easier now with him being a lame duck and being on his way out very, very soon. And currently we deal with our infamous Gov. Blagojevich who has been asked to resign by just about everyone yet he still has blinders on thinking that people want him to stay in office. Governor, they are discussing impeaching you in Springfield with no real opposition. The people of Illinois are embarrassed about our state due to the scandal you've given us. Don't try to save your job just to support your ego. No one wants you to stay in office. Resign now!
