Gay rights lead down wrong path

I'm writing in response to Sheryl Jedlinski's letter regarding the evolution of certain rights in the United States.

I would submit to her that in the words of one Barack Obama "Help is on the way!"

Let me explain. The incoming administration will bring with it an open mind regarding the sexuality of the public. The country should no longer use any religion, and Christianity in particular, as a blueprint for its moral compass.

People should be able to do whatever they like, with whomever they wish.

Don't get me wrong, I think whatever 2-38 consenting adults do sexually behind closed doors is their own business, as long as nobody gets hurt, and it should be none of the government's business.

However, when my kids are taught in public schools that this is perfectly normal behavior, that's where I draw the line. It's too bad that what were once considered sins are now just considered different, or at worst diseases requiring millions or billions of dollars of taxpayer money in therapy.

I'm disgusted by the direction this country is headed culturally.
