Driving age should be raised to 18
Being able to drive at the age of 16 is a concern to me. I feel the state should pass a law making the age to be 18. There are way too many teen-caused accidents that could be avoided if the age was raised.
Sixteen-year-olds aren't responsible enough. When they drive, you see them on their phone, blasting the music, and talking with friends ... everything but concentrating on the road.
With cars being such a dangerous mode of transportation, I don't understand why it is so easy to receive your license at such an early age. But you must wait until the age of 18 to buy a pack of cigarettes. With all these teen-related accidents and deaths, I think increasing the driving age to 18 would solve this major problem.
