Bentley driver shot on L.A. freeway dies at hospital

LOS ANGELES -- The driver of a Bentley who was repeatedly shot last week on a Los Angeles highway has died.

Police Officer Karen Smith says 25-year-old Jose Luis Macias died Sunday.

He was shot Friday on Highway 101 near downtown when one or more gunmen left at least 10 bullet holes on his luxury car.

Detective Wallace Tennelli says investigators know of no motive and would not say whether they have suspects.

Macias was pulled from his 2005 Bentley in a crime that baffled investigators and snarled freeway traffic for hours.
