Woman pleads not guilty in DUI deaths

MORRIS -- A 43-year-old woman charged with drunken driving in the deaths of a central Illinois family has pleaded not guilty.

Ann Marie Getz of Ransom appeared in Grundy County Circuit Court Thursday. She faces eight counts of aggravated driving under the influence.

Prosecutors say Getz allegedly ran a stop sign on Nov. 6, 2008, killing 27-year-old Amanda Jahn of Dwight and her two children, 3-year-old Ryan and 1-month-old Kaitlyn. Getz was hospitalized for six days following the accident.

Prosecutors say she has two previous DUI convictions.

Getz could serve up to 28 years in prison if convicted. Judge Robert Marsaglia says she'll be back in court next week to address subpoenas and file motions.
