Jackson shocked by Blagojevich arrest
Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. says he's shocked by Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's arrest, and the Chicago Democrat says he was outraged by the appalling allegations.
Jackson is one of the contenders mentioned as a possible replacement for President-elect Barack Obama in the U.S. Senate.
Jackson met Monday for 90 minutes with Blagojevich to talk about the job.
Blagojevich faces corruption charges that include trying to benefit financially from his ability to appoint Obama's replacement.
Jackson says he's "deeply concerned" the process may have been tainted.
