Obama caved on lobbyist promise

Barack Obama said "no lobbyists in his administration." Now, first thing out of the box, it's Tom Daschel - rejected by the voters of South Dakota, and employed by a big lobbyist firm, and whose wife is a registered lobbyist with big corporate clients - and he's Secretary of Health and Human Services.

No outcry from the media on this one.

Silence, silence all around. Think about it. He has not even taken the oath yet and he succumbs to the beltway pressure.
