Arcola lawnmowers to appear in inauguration parade

ARCOLA, Ill. -- An invitation to perform in the 56th Inaugural Parade has the World Famous Lawn Rangers from Amazing Arcola spicing up its routine, which involves drill-team maneuvers with lawnmowers.

The Lawn Rangers will join the Jesse White Tumbling Team and other groups from across the country Jan. 20 in a parade in Washington after President-elect Barack Obama's swearing-in ceremony.

Lawn Ranger founder Pat Monahan calls it a great honor.

The Lawn Rangers are an unorthodox performance group, pushing elaborately decorated lawn mowers and twirling brooms in a coordinated routine.
