Wisconsin beats N. Illinois, 70-64
MADISON, Wis. -- Alyssa Karel scored 25 points and was 2-for-3 from behind the arc as Wisconsin defeated Northern Illinois 70-64 on Sunday.
Mariah Dunham and Rae Lin D'Alie each scored 11 points for Wisconsin (8-1). D'Alie also had five rebounds.
Wisconsin dominated the first half, outscoring Northern Illinois 41-24.
At 13:03 in the second, Wisconsin led by 20 points — its largest lead of the game. But Northern Illinois rallied, scoring a total of 40 points in the second half, while Wisconsin only tacked on 29.
Marke Freeman led Northern Illinois (3-5) with 15 points. Aileen Rossouw and Kylie York each had 11 points, and Shari' Welton scored 10.
