When will reckless spending stop?

A well-known adage: "Money is the root of all evil." And money for Obama's campaign far outdistanced McCain in financial "gifts". Now millions are being poured into states that will determine the control of the Congress. When our country is teetering on the edge financially, when will this reckless spending of our tax dollars stop?
