Two injured in Inverness crash

Police and rescue officials have cleared the scene of an accident that took place Thursday morning on Route 68 and Guthrie Road in Inverness, officials said.

Officials said the crash between a semi-truck and a minivan took place at about 6:15 a.m. and that two people were injured in the accident. They were transported to nearby Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, but the extent of the injuries and the condition of those injured remain unknown.

Police said slick driving conditions are expected to play a role in the crash, but did not have details available yet.
