Don't give a break to former Gov. Ryan

I see by recent articles that there is movement underfoot to request a presidential pardon or clemency for George Ryan. Am I in the minority, because I say NO!!! NO!!! NO!!!

After following the case in the media, I agree with the prosecution: George Ryan showed no remorse and never accepted responsibility. He was found guilty, appealed and was turned down by the Supreme Court. Not many people get all those chances.

I would like to see your paper run a poll for a week or so, asking the simple question:

"Do you approve clemency or a presidential pardon for George Ryan? Yes or No."

I think the answer will be very interesting.
