Rolling Meadows police still investigating hit-and-run accident

Rolling Meadows police are still investigating a crash that sent two people to the hospital on Thanksgiving night.

The accident occurred about 11 p.m. on East Frontage Road at Rywick Court, said Sgt. Tony Gaspari of the Rolling Meadows Police Department.

A driver going north on Frontage Road went into the southbound lanes and hit another car, sending a a 20-year-old Roselle man and a 17-year-old Rolling Meadows woman to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. The man who was driving the second car suffered a broken leg, and the woman suffered facial cuts and had to be transported to the hospital on a backboard, according to the Rolling Meadows Fire Department.

When police arrived, the driver of the other car had fled.

"We're awaiting forensic test results to determine the driver of the vehicle," Gaspari said.
