Basketball coaches to talk to public over pasta
Seven Aurora-area prep and college basketball coaches will report on their current campaigns on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Aurora's Noon Lions Club will hold a fourth annual Aurora Basketball Coaches' Night from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Luigi's Pizza and Fun Center, 732 Prairie St. in Aurora.
The public is invited. The event includes a social hour from 6:30 to 7 p.m., pasta dinner from 7 to 8 p.m., and the program from 8 to 9 p.m. Admission is $10 per person. Proceeds will benefit Lions charities.
Coaches expected are Gordy Kirkman, West Aurora High School; Wendell Jeffries, East Aurora High School; Nate Drye, Aurora Central Catholic High School; Marc Davidson, Aurora Christian High School; Steve Weemer, Waubonsie Valley High School; Dave Heiss, Waubonsee Community College; and James Lancaster, Aurora University. Jim Scott, retired AU football coach, will emcee.
