Arlington Heights

• Evan D. Larsson, 27, 3135 Town Square Drive, Rolling Meadows, was arrested around 1:45 a.m. Nov. 24 on the 700 block of North Arlington Heights Road and charged with unlawful use of a weapon and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His court date is Jan. 14.

• A 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe parked at a restaurant on the 900 block of West Dundee Road was broken into between 2-3:44 p.m. Nov. 23; a purse and gift cards valued at $100 were stolen.

• A GPS, portable DVD player, portable CD player and 300 CDs were stolen out of an unlocked 1998 Chrysler Concorde on the 200 block of West Rand Road between 3:20-3:40 p.m. Nov. 21; loss was estimated at $3,125.

• A 2008 Dodge Ram pickup truck at a store on the 0-100 block of West Rand Road was broken into between 3-3:30 p.m. Nov. 21; a $280 GPS unit was taken.

• Someone broke into a 2007 Chevrolet Impala at a store on the 0-100 block of West Rand Road between 1-1:55 p.m. Nov. 21 and stole a $300 MP3 player.

• A 2005 Lexus at a restaurant on the 2000 block of West Euclid Avenue was broken into between 2:30-4:35 p.m. Nov. 21; an MP3 player and bag filled with brochures were stolen. Loss was estimated at $350.

• Someone broke into a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe on the 800 block of West Dundee Road between 12:30-1:20 p.m. Nov. 21 and stole a GPS unit. Total loss was estimated at $550.

Rolling Meadows

• A commercial building at 3315 Algonquin Road was vandalized with spray paint Nov. 17; a damage estimate was not available.

• A vandal smashed a window on a vehicle on the 5600 block of Tinder Drive Nov. 19; a damage estimate was not available.

• A vehicle on the 4800 block of Weber Drive was broken into around 11 p.m. Nov. 22; clothes and household items intended for sale were stolen. A value estimate was not available.

Des Plaines

• A man stole a $250 GPS unit out of an unlocked 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier on the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue around 7:05 p.m. Nov. 23. The owner returned home and saw the burglar's legs sticking out of her car; she shouted and the man ran from the car.

• A 2005 Ford Taurus on the 400 block of Northwest Highway was broken into between 12:30-5:15 p.m. Nov. 23; several gift cards were stolen. A loss estimate was not available; damage was estimated at $200.

• Someone stole the in-dash radio/CD player and two or three CDs out of an unlocked 2002 Chrysler Sebring on the 1800 block of North Shore around 8:10 p.m. Nov. 22; loss was estimated at $500.

• The office at Trinity Lutheran Church, 675 E. Algonquin Road, was broken into overnight Nov. 21-22; a locked cash box was stolen. There was no sign of forced entry to the church; the total loss was estimated at $130.

Elk Grove Village

• A $50,000 2004 Freightliner Columbia tractor truck was stolen out of a lot on the 2600 block of Elmhurst Road between 7:30 p.m. Nov. 21 and 10 a.m. Nov. 22.

• A home on the 1500 block of William Clifford Lane was broken into between 8:45 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. Nov. 20, after a burglar broke a lower level bathroom window to get in. Stolen were several computers and components, an MP3 player, digital camera and lens, cash, cuff links, a watch, two video-game systems and a stereo. Total loss was estimated at $7,300.

• A 1997 Buick Regal was stolen from the 1600 block of Von Braun Trail between 8:10 p.m. Nov. 17 and 2:40 a.m. Nov. 18. Loss was estimated at $2,500.

• Armando Soto, 42, 3255 N. Whipple, Chicago, was arrested around 4:15 p.m. Nov. 16 on Landmeier Road east of Higgins Road and charged with possession of methamphetamine. His court date is Dec. 31.

Mount Prospect

• Someone hurled a liquor bottle at a 2002 Ford sedan on the 1100 block of Boxwood Drive around 1:15 a.m. Nov. 23; it smashed the rear window and dented the trunk lid. Damage was estimated at $800.

• Burglars smashed a taillight and broke into a 1993 Dodge Shadow at a store on the 300 block of East Euclid Avenue between 11:30 p.m. Nov. 21 and 2:10 a.m. Nov. 22; a Schaumburg library card and 50 CDs were taken. Total loss was estimated at $1,160.

• Thieves stole a backpack after a woman left it inside a restaurant on the 2300 block of South Elmhurst Road around 10:35 p.m. Nov. 22; she lost a wallet, money, MP3 player, cell phone and leather gloves, all worth about $630.

Bartlett

• Someone ransacked a home on Shorewood Drive Nov. 24 and stole cashier's checks valued at $23,000.

• Colby Hollins, 18, and Luke Nelson, 19, both of 1151 N. State St., Elgin, and Gustavo Lopez, 18, 2750 Forest Glen Parkway, Woodridge, were arrested around 2:45 a.m. Nov. 22 at Lake Street and Naperville Road and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. Hollins also was charged with zero tolerance driving under the influence and traffic violations; his court date is Dec. 18. Lopez also was charged with possession of marijuana; his court date is Dec. 18. Nelson's court date is Dec. 11.

• A mailbox on Pleasant Drive was vandalized Nov. 22; damage was estimated at $1,800.

• A $150 cell phone was stolen out of a student's bag around 7:40 a.m. Nov. 20 at Bartlett High School, 701 W. Schick Road.

• A 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle was stolen out of a garage on Gerber Road and tools taken out of a trailer at the same property, both on Nov. 17. The loss was estimated at $35,000.

Hanover Park

• Keith E. Vermillion, 22, 1344 Kingsbury Drive, Hanover Park, was arrested around 9 p.m. Nov. 24 at his home and charged with battery and resisting a police officer. A court date was not available.

• A 2003 Toyota Matrix (IL plate number: X96 9809) around 9:45 p.m. Nov. 23 on the 7100 block of East Avenue while the engine was running. A value estimate was not available.

• Obie Cornelious, 35, 5531 Court A, Hanover Park, was arrested around 12:30 a.m. Nov. 22 at Arlington and Lake Street and charged with possession of marijuana and driving under the influence. A court date was not available.

• Edgardo C. Legarda, 43, 2126 Baldwin Lane, Hanover Park, was arrested around 11:45 p.m. Nov. 22 at Lawrence and Morton and charged with a traffic violation and possession of methamphetamine. A court date was not available.

Streamwood

• Soccer shoes, gym shoes, soccer equipment, a new video-game system and seven games were stolen out of a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on the 100 block of Canton Lane overnight Nov. 23-24; a loss estimate was not available.

• Someone kicked in the front door of a home on the 900 block of Hartwood Drive between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Nov. 24 and stole a laptop computer and jewelry; the loss was estimated at $40,000.

• Matthew Kyle Jennings, 21, 2392 Discovery Drive, Unit D, Schaumburg, was arrested around 9:40 p.m. Nov. 21 at Williamsburg Drive and Sandalwood Court and charged with possession and delivery of marijuana. A court date was not available.

• A man stole DVDs and video games valued at $466 from Wal-Mart, 850 S. Barrington Road, around 5:20 p.m. Nov. 22. A security agent chased him, and he dropped most of the merchandise on the ground and disappeared.

• A Ford Focus on the 1300 block of East Irving Park Road was broken into between 4-11:15 p.m. Nov. 22; a GPS was stolen. A value estimate was not available.

• Burglars stole 20 purses and 12 wallets out of an unlocked 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe on the 100 block of Kensington Drive between 11 p.m. Nov. 23 and 2:15 a.m. Nov. 24. Value was estimated at $1,250.

Hoffman Estates

• A storage locker in an apartment building on the 500 block of Mesa Lane was broken into Nov. 9-19; a grill, food mixer and five collector dolls were stolen. The value of the loss was estimated at $320.

Schaumburg

• Olivia Petrielli, 17, 234 N. Chester, Park Ridge, was arrested Nov. 22 and charged with retail theft from at Macy's in Woodfield Mall. Her court date is Dec. 19. Petrinelli's arrest has been expunged by the Illinois State Police.

• James Andrew Balark, 30, last known address 644 S. Harvey Ave., Oak Park, was arrested Nov. 22 and charged with retail theft from at Jewel-Osco, 1151 S. Roselle Road. His court date is Dec. 8.

• Mariusz S. Budziszewski, 32, 634 Merlin Drive, Schaumburg, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at his home and charged with battery; police say he spit in a woman's face and slapped her cheek at Lancer Brook Park because she pointed out his two dogs were not leashed. She wrote down his license plate number and officers arrested him. His court date is Dec. 19.

• Guadalupe Tena, 41, 214 Hickory Lane, Schaumburg, was arrested Nov. 21 and charged with retail theft from Macy's in Woodfield Mall. Her court date is Dec. 29.

• Candice Adrianne Reese, 21, 134 S. Braintree Court, Schaumburg, was arrested Nov. 21 and charged with retail theft from JCPenney in Woodfield Mall. Her court date is Dec. 19.

• Jeffrey Michael Luft, 18, 185 Des Plaines Lane, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 3:20 p.m. Nov. 21 in Woodfield Mall and charged with disorderly conduct. Police say he harassed customers and told them and a security agent that he was an Illinois police officer but could not provide a badge, firearm, commission card or other police-related equipment. His court date is Dec. 30.

• Sergio Manuel Portilla, 17, 1956 Green Lane, Apt. 2A, Palatine, was arrested around 2:50 a.m. Nov. 23 and charged with felony burglary to motor vehicle, criminal damage to property, theft, resisting arrest and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police say he, and two juveniles, smashed windows on five cars - a Toyota Corolla on Bent Tree Court; a Chevrolet truck, Toyota Camry and Honda Accord on Presidio Court; and a Ford Mustang on Austin Court - and stole four GPS units and a radar detector. Total loss was estimated at $2,510. His court date is Dec. 23.

• Burglars broke into a 2002 Toyota RAV4 on the 1400 block of East Golf Road between 2:45-3:15 p.m. Nov. 24 and stole a GPS. Total loss was estimated at $600.
