Tavern brawl followed by fatal hit-and-run
STONE PARK -- Authorities in the Chicago suburb of Stone Park are investigating the stabbing of three people in a tavern brawl that was followed by a fatal hit-and-run crash.
Stone Park Fire Department Lt. Chris Soda says emergency personnel were called to the Nitro Nightclub shortly after midnight Thursday when a brawl spilled outside into the street and the three people were stabbed.
Soda says that several minutes after the stabbings, an auto ran down two people. One of them, 18-year-old Galissa Brown of the far southwestern Chicago suburb of Sheridan, was pronounced dead a short time later at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
Soda says three males and two females were also taken to Loyola in critical condition.
