Algonquin

• Daniel W. McManus, 30, of 3012 Allington Ave., Rockford was arrested at 4 p.m. Monday at Guitar Center, 195 S. Randall Road, and charged with possession of stolen property. McManus also was wanted on a Winnebago County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of driving while license suspended, police said. McManus remains in the McHenry County jail with a $4,000 bond and a Dec. 4 court date in Woodstock.

Carpentersville

• Arturo Farias, 17, of 2134 Morningside Lane Apt. D, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant issued for failing to appear in court Sept. 27 on a possession of marijuana charge, police said. Farias was released Wednesday on a recognizance bond with a court date of Dec. 4 in Elgin.

Elgin

• Orbelin Nunez-Perez, 41, was charged with felony obstruction of justice, police said, after he gave an officer false information about himself during a traffic stop at Villa and Gifford streets late Tuesday. He also was cited for speeding and driving without a valid driver's license. Nunez-Perez was sent to the Kane County jail Wednesday with a $6,000 bond. His court dates are Dec. 5 in St. Charles and Dec. 7 in Elgin.

• Three reports of BB or pellet shot holes in windows causing thousands of dollars of damage to three commercial buildings were reported Tuesday. Seventeen holes were made in 11 large picture windows at 385 Airport Road, and three windows - one 2-by-8 feet and two measuring 7-by-8 feet - were damaged with small holes across the street at 410A Airport Road. Ten windows 5-by-6 feet valued at more than $1,000 each also were punctured at 225 Corporate Drive.

• A brown 1997 Ford Crown Victoria was reported stolen from the 200 block of Michigan Street between 10 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Kane County

• A Kane County Sheriff's Department squad car was rear-ended about 7 a.m. Monday as a deputy investigated an unrelated crash in the area of 41W470 Plato Road, in Plato Township. No one was hurt in either accident.

St. Charles

• Matthew Michael Ankenbrandt, 21, of 821 Oak St., Elgin, was arrested Saturday and charged with possession of 3.07 grams of cannabis. Ankenbrandt was arrested when officers stopped to assist him with a flat tire, reports state. He also was charged with driving under the influence after failing a field sobriety test and registering a .217 blood-alcohol level, police said.

Sleepy Hollow

• Police investigating a 911 hang-up call arrested two teens for underage drinking early Sunday morning on the 200 block of Jamestowne Road for underage drinking. Connor C. Kustief, 18, of 502 Second St., West Dundee and Samantha Kinsella, 17, of 212 Jamestowne Road, were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, according to a report. Both were released with notices to appear in Carpentersville court Jan. 7.

West Dundee

• Two women were arrested Tuesday evening on charges they took $646.50 worth of unpaid merchandise from Sears at Spring Hill Mall. Caitlin F. Speciale, 20, of 521 Ford Lane, Bartlett, and Melanie Quercia, 21, of 198 Gregory M. Sears Drive, Gilberts, were charged with felony retail theft, police said. Both were released on recognizance bond with Dec. 18 court dates at the Kane County Judicial Center.
