Painful result a lesson to others
The only thing I know for sure is that the older I get, the less I know. Unlike, of course, when I was a teenager and knew it all. That maybe the reason the three teenagers from North Lawndale College Prep who more than likely had good big-city survival skills felt their outdoor skills could do battle with the icy waters of the Fox River.
A boat is a tool just like a gun, and in unfamiliar or inexperienced hands can be very dangerous. Flowers placed along the river's edge is just not enough. I just hope and pray that somehow this tragic incident gets the attention of those who believe they are infallible and learn the lesson so they and their families won't suffer the same fate.
