Notes: Ben Curtis, 1-1-1 in his Ryder Cup debut, accepted a spot in the event after eight Americans ahead of him in the ranking declined to play.

Course: Singapore Island Country Club, Bukit Course (6,077 yards, par 72).

Purse: $1 million. Winners' shares: $52,083 per player.

Format: Team match play. Friday, six best-ball matches; Saturday, six alternate-shot matches; Sunday, 12 singles matches.

Last year: Jee Young Lee, Seon Hwa Lee and In-Kyung Kim won early singles matches to give Asia an insurmountable lead en route to its second straight victory, 15-9 over the International team at The Vines in Perth, Australia.

Notes: Annika is playing her final LPGA Tour-sanctioned event. She will end her career next week in the Ladies European Tour's Dubai Ladies Masters.

Last year: Australia's Aaron Baddeley beat Sweden's Daniel Chopra with a par save on the fourth hole of a playoff.

Notes: John Daly is making his first Australian start since he was disqualified from the 2002 Australian PGA for failing to sign his scorecard after a club-throwing tantrum. Daly also will play the Australian PGA next week at Coolum. Last week in Hong Kong, he closed with a 62 to tie for 17th.
