Inverness man's death not suspicious

A 75-year-old man found dead in his Inverness condominium early Monday died of natural causes, the Cook County Medical's Office said today.

Initial reports indicated police believed Richard Herrell's death was suspicious and investigated it as such.

But the medical examiner's office he died from a heart condition.

Herrell was pronounced dead at 12:56 a.m. in the 1800 block of Ashbury Lane, a Cook County medical examiner's office spokesman said.

Barrington-Inverness police have not yet responded to requests for comment.
