At Mundelein, the Ramblers spoiled the debut of John Ryan as the Corsairs' coach.

Matt Sullivan scored 9 of his game-high 18 points in the first quarter, helping Loyola jump out to a 13-7 lead, which increased to 38-19 by halftime.

Lawson Thalmann scored 7 of his 13 points in the second quarter, in which Loyola outscored Carmel 25-12.

Ryan Kloss and Connor Garvey each had 9 points for Carmel.
