Village board's work worth appreciating

Though last Monday night I was one of those applauding loudly each time a resident took the Arlington Heights mayor and trustees to task for their intent to hike the Village tax levy, I also began to observe a pattern of diligence and conscientiousness with which these elected officials had been applying to a most complex (and often unappreciated) job with our tax money.

I went home that night with quite a changed attitude about how my village is run. I really think these guys need our prayers.
