Obama must adopt a shelter puppy

Upon reading the Nov. 16 article regarding the grave economic plight of animal shelters, it dawned on me just how important it would be if President-elect Obama adopts a puppy from a shelter.

Fans and foes concur that Obama is inspiring.

If he adopts a dog from a shelter it would inevitably inspire many other prospective pet owners to adopt a canine or cat from a local animal shelter.
