Obama election was collective suicide

As a former Cuban refugee from the communist regime of Fidel Castro, I watched a couple of nights ago a spectacle that I never thought I would see in this great nation: how this nation could commit collective suicide and still think that the nation is still alive.

I could never imagine that having at hand a patriot in John McCain, with all his weaknesses, but with moral values, with political experience and worthy of the presidency of the United States, the country chose a man without experience and with an obscure past. I feel ashamed. I always thought that those were Third World decisions.

The celebration that is going on is with an euphoric heart but with their eyes closed. My heart is sad but my eyes are wide open. You just have to pay attention to one bit of news and shiver: "When Obama and his running mate Joe Biden take their oath of office on Jan. 20, Democrats will control both the White House and Congress, for the first time since 1994."

Nobody realizes the damage that a Democratic president can do in the moment the Democrats control the White House and Congress. It comes to my mind the Biblical scene when Herod hands over to Salome on a silver tray the head of John the Baptist. The American people have put the head of the nation on a silver plate and delivered it to Obama. It was not necessary to decapitate the country. They decapitated themselves.
