• The Elmhurst Historical Museum hosts a gingerbread house workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 28, at 120 E. Park Ave., Elmhurst. Cost is $25 per group of up to five people. Reservations required. Call (630) 833-1457.

• Foodstuffs Gourmet Foods locations in Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview and Lake Forest each hold "Gingerbread Dream House Decorating" workshops from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays through Dec. 20.
