Cops taking new look at woman's death

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS -- Authorities who believed a Belleville woman died of an accidental drug overdose before her body was found months ago now think the case may have been murder.

Investigators say new information they've obtained in recent days has prompted them to give the death of 32-year-old Terry Jiovanni-Learn another look.

The former exotic dancer's body was found in April in her apartment. Her mother has said the daughter struggled with drugs but was getting her life on track.

The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis suspended its investigation after toxicology and autopsy results showed Jiovanni-Learn likely died of an overdose.

But an investigator says new information suggests the woman may have been killed in Fairview Heights, before the body was moved to her apartment.
